The first week can sometimes be a roller coaster. Babies are trying to figure out the world. Their first week of life is a very confusing one. They went from a warm, dark, comfortable place to a cold, loud, and stimulating one. All that babies want during their first week, is to be cuddled up to their mother. Babies sleep around 18 hours per day at this stage. Your day with a week old baby will be filled with diaper changes and sleepy smiles. Some babies are very fussy during this stage, and some are very calm. All babies are different, but they all are precious.
